Crosspool Tavern refurbishment – photos

Crosspool Tavern officially reopened its doors on Thursday night following a refurbishment.

Teams of contractors had been on site since Sunday night’s closure, completing structural changes, redecorating, laying new carpets and replacing soft furnishings. Staff returned at lunchtime on Thursday to set up the bar and restaurant ready for the 5pm public reopening.

Crosspool Forum Chairman Ian Hague was invited to officially open the Tavern after manager Julie Kelly had earlier put out a request to find a local hero to do the honours.

A large crowd gathered outside at 5pm to see the official cutting of the ribbon before exploring the new look Tavern for themselves.

So what have they done? Every chair in the restaurant is different and the structure is the same. This pub needs a major re-vamp not just spit and polish they have done this before. This pub is one of the best they have and they have done a cheap and nasty job on it.

Oh dear…..I know it’s all a matter of taste……but is the interior designer colour blind?! That carpet. OMG!
