A stretch of Manchester Road in Crosspool now has a 30mph speed limit

The speed limit on a stretch of Manchester Road in Crosspool has been reduced to 30mph.

For around 40 years the speed limit has been 40mph between Den Bank Avenue and Coppice View.

There has been continued concern by residents for the safety of both drivers and pedestrians along this part of the road and over the years there have been requests for it to be reduced back to its original speed limit of 30mph.

Another result of your Labour councillors responding to the concerns expressed by residents. Next let’s have a 20mph limit on roads like Selborne, Cairns and other residential roads plagued by rat runners driving too fast.

  2. Kaff says:

Let’s see the new limit enforced first of all, including the stretch of Manchester Road between Crosspool and Broomhill. Too many drivers think it’s ok to drive at 40 or 50 mph here.
