This year marks the 50th year that a pantomime has taking place at Stephen Hill Methodist Church.
Tickets are now on sale for the 2018 production of Aladdin.
The show will be presented from Wednesday 21 Feb to Saturday 24 Feb (half term week) at 7.30pm.

Today’s snow and ice caused a 51 bus to get stuck on Sandygate Road this morning.

Nest cafe in Crosspool will host a Sunday writing retreat next month.
Draft Zero takes place on Sunday 4 February. The day will be a mixture of writing exercises, free writing time and drinks and snacks, which are included in the price of a ticket.

The 2018 Crosspool calendar is available for just £4 from Charisma, Cocker & Carr, Crosspool Pet Supplies, Enhance, Nest and GT News.
Money raised will help Crosspool Forum funds for local events and improvements to our neighbourhood.
There’s a chance for Crosspool residents to recycle their Christmas tree on Sunday 7 January, 10-11.30am, outside Direct Travel.
Volunteers will be collecting contributions to support the work of Crosspool Forum in our community. If you would like to give then the suggested donation is £2.
If you can spare an hour or two in the morning to assist with the recycling and with the clear up afterwards then your help would be appreciated – please come along from 10am.

One of our local pubs has a new look and new menu.
On Friday 8 December, the Crosspool Tavern reopened with an expanded menu, including fresh dough pizzas, burgers, carvery meats and pub classics. Five new jobs have been created.

Speaking about the conversion general manager, Christopher Squire, said: “We’re excited about the new changes and are looking forward to welcoming the people of Sheffield to come and see what Stonehouse Pizza & Carvery is all about.
“We’re a real part of the local community and are looking to support local charities, projects and host a variety of events and activities that everyone can enjoy.”
