Proceeds to Stephen Hill and St Columba Church charities

Church Charity Achievements 2019

Each year Stephen Hill Methodist Church chooses to support two charities.

Over the last 12 months, up to the end of August 2019, members of the Stephen Hill
Methodist Church managed to hand over cheques of £1,447 to both the “McMillan Cancer Care” and “Sheffield Support Dogs”, from the proceeds of regular coffee mornings.

Since then, as well as the money raised from these coffee mornings, they had extra events and a 90th birthday party, which raised a further £1030.00 for the “Macmillan Cancer Support“, bringing this year’s total for this charity to £2477.00.
In addition, a further £1421.10 raised from a folk evening, a concert with The Rock Choir and a sales morning, brought the total amount raised for the “Sheffield Support Dogs” charity to a total of £2,868.10.

These extra activities amounted to their two chosen charities receiving a staggering grand total of £5345.10.

Not content with their past achievements, Stephen Hill Church has now started fundraising for next year’s two charities, Alzheimer’s UK and the Sheffield City of Sanctuary on Chapel Walk, supporting asylum seekers and refugees.
