Residents can expect disruption from 13 April as the main roads around Broomhill are resurfaced as part of the Streets Ahead programme.
Roads will close between 7pm and 7am as the work takes place. The disruption will also have an impact on buses and on-street parking.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times and access to businesses will be unaffected.

First Buses have advised that they will be unable to run buses from Blackbrook Road to Lodge Moor terminus from Thursday 7 April to Tuesday 17 April, 7am-7pm, on weekdays only.
Because they will be forced to use Crimicar Lane to turn buses, this will mean the use of single deckers during the period. Last time this diversion was in place, a double decker received damage due to a tree at kerbside, so it is considered unsafe.
First are advising residents that while they will do their best, there is a possible risk of demand exceeding seating capacity on the service at peak periods and around school times.
Bus services from Crosspool to Castleton and Bakewell could be drastically reduced from October 2017.
Derbyshire County Council is considering several options in order to save money, with one of them being to withdraw all county council funding for subsidised buses from October 2017. This means that unless they can be run commercially they will stop.
The Derbyshire County Council-supported services that run through Crosspool are:

The public are being asked to comment on the proposals as part of a consultation, which ends on 24 April 2016.

The 51 bus route will be changed slightly due to resurfacing works for the next three Sundays.
On Sundays 22 and 29 November and 6 December from 6am to 5pm the Crosspool-bound 51 bus will travel as normal to to Western Bank then go left down Clarkson Street, right onto Glossop Road, left to Fulwood Road then continue as normal to Lodge Moor.
City-bound journeys are unaffected.

Concerned Crosspool residents are collecting signatures for a petition regarding the position of the painted white lines on Sandygate Road.
The road markings were repainted following resurfacing work and have divided the road into a wider uphill lane and a narrower downhill lane.
Resident Marie Biggs explained: “My main concern is that vehicles are travelling far too fast up the road and hogging the white lines. This doesn’t leave any space for vehicles and cyclists travelling downhill towards Crosspool, which have to cross the white lines to pass parked vehicles.
“Amey/Streets Ahead told me that the reason the lines are as they are is to allow for the safe overtaking of cyclists coming uphill – but what ablout the cyclists travelling downhill?
“And, if there was to be a collision, would drivers travelling down the road always be deemed to be at fault, purely because they are straddling the white lines?”
The petition can be signed in GT News and the Post Office.
What do you think of the position of the Sandygate Road markings?
