Hallam Chase fell race returns to Crosspool on Tuesday 29 May
On Tuesday 29 May the annual fell race organised by Hallamshire Harriers and hosted by Hallam Cricket Club returns to Crosspool.
At 8pm on the Tuesday evening after the second bank holiday in May, runners set off from Hallam Football/Cricket Club’s Sandygate ground, go down Den Bank through the Rivelin Valley and up to Stannington church, before returning by the same route. The Hallam Chase run 3¼ miles long, with 800 feet of climb.
The record time of 19 minutes 42 seconds was set in 1968 by Trevor Wright.

Gin and tonic night at Nest cafe on Wednesday 11 April
Nest cafe is hosting a gin and tonic night, featuring 10 premium gins and Fever Tree mixers.
Tickets for the event on Wednesday 11 April are limited and available from nest at £10 each. The price of the ticket includes any two gin and tonics.

Easter-themed Lego event at Tapton Hill Congregational Church
On Saturday 31 March at 10.30am Tapton Hill Congregational Church is hosting a Easter-themed Lego event.
Children and their parents/carers can come and take part in a Lego egg challenge. Every child will have a book and a chocolate egg to take home. Donations are welcome.
