Voter Identification Required in England 

You will need to bring Photo ID to vote at polling stations for the local elections on 4 May 2023. 
Photo ID which will be accepted can be found on the voter ID page
All voters will be asked to show ID before their ballot paper is issued
Please note that this does not affect postal votes.
No ID? No problem.
If you don’t have photo ID, don’t worry.
Anyone without photo identification can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate (VAC) free of charge from the Government website.
You must apply before 5pm on Tuesday 25 April 2023.
Register to vote.
