Art, Craft, Photography, Cake Baking and Decorating Exhibition and Competitions
This summer, Crosspool Festival is holding an exhibition for the people of Crosspool to showcase their creativity in the areas of Art, Craft, Photography, Cake Making & Cup Cake Decorating.
Anyone who lives, works or goes to school in the Crosspool area can enter and have their submission exhibited. There will be a chance also to win some prizes, which are sponsored by Cocker & Carr, the Crosspool Estate Agents.
There is no theme to follow, just show us what you can create. You can enter as many of the categories as you want, but no more than two entries per category.
All competitions will be judged on Wednesday 29th June at St Columba’s Church and where all the entries will be on display to be admired by the public throughout the day. Cocker & Carr will then put on a window display of some of the entries in the art, craft and photography categories
How to enter
Cup Cake Decorating
This is open to young people as follows:
- Under-fives
- Five to Eleven Years
You can enter a maximum of two cupcakes. You don’t have to make the cupcakes, just decorate them using your imagination and make sure you don’t eat them all before showing them off!
Your cupcakes can be handed in at St Columba’s Church either on Tuesday 28th June between 6 -7 pm or Wednesday 29th June from 9-10 am. you must include a card that gives details of
- Your name
- Age category
- The contact email and phone number of your parent or guardian
Cake Baking
This is open to
- Under 16s
- Everyone over 16 years.
You can submit up to two cakes that you have made yourself.
Your cakes can be handed in at St Columba’s Church either on Tuesday 28th June between 6 -7 pm or Wednesday 29th June from 9-10 am.
You must include a card that gives details of:-
- Your name
- Age category
- Your contact email and phone number.
Art and Craft Creations
This is open to
- Under 16s
- Everyone over 16 years.
You can submit up to two creations that you have made yourself.
You must include a card that gives details of:-
- Your name
- Age category
- Your contact email and phone number.
From Wednesday, June 1st you can drop off your entries at Cocker & Carr Estate Agents. The closing date is midday on Friday 24th June.
Photography
This is open to
- Under 16s
- Everyone over 16 years.
You can submit a maximum of two images and the prints can be either A5 or A4 in size. On the back of the print, you must state
- Your name
- Age category
- Your contact email and phone number
- A caption for your photo so the judges clearly understand your description of what is happening in the photo.
