As part of the South Yorkshire Safer Roads Partnership to reduce the many collisions that contribute to the needless heartache and distress for victims and families, South Yorkshire Mobile Safety Cameras are now regularly deployed to monitor motorists on the 30mph section of Manchester Road between Bell Hagg and Benty Lane.
Although they do have the power to prosecute those who break the speed limit, they would rather persuade drivers to slow down before they are caught on film.
To help them to achieve their aim of reducing the number of collisions and deaths on our roads, keep to the speed limit.
Thank you Alexander. Let’s hope it has some impact. Unfortunately people who drive too fast don’t always take much notice of anything that may slow them. We really do need something on Sandygate road. Frequently used as a speed track!
