A bit of Crosspool history has been uncovered in the precinct! Who remembers S. Palfreyman?
The former Crosspool Hardware shop in the precinct could become a cafe, if a new planning application is successful.
You can comment on the application on the council website.
Crosspool Hardware closed its doors for the last time last October.
The former Crosspool Hardware shop is being let by Javlin Property Ltd. They are looking for circa £9,500 (no VAT) per annum.

At 2pm this afternoon Crosspool Hardware closed for good.
The shop’s stock had been on sale at a reduced rate over the last couple of weeks and trading finally ceased earlier today.
The owners of the business tried to sell it as a going concern but weren’t able to. They’re now moving away from the area.
The shop will undoubtedly be missed by local residents. Its closure leaves another empty unit in the precinct, with the former Aligarh restaurant still standing empty since it shut 12 months ago.
