Wanted: books, bric-a-brac or tombola prizes for Crosspool Summer Fayre
Join us on the afternoons of Sunday 5 and Sunday 12 June at 2pm-5pm to learn how to make a beautiful willow lantern.
Materials included in £5 ticket. We will be making simple stars, globes and cone lanterns… but if you feel like being more adventurous we will be on hand to help you make your creation.

Many thanks to all who made bunting for the festival. We have enough lengths for all the shops to have some to decorate their windows during the festival. Crosspool shopping centre should look very attractive!

The dates for the 2016 festival are Friday 24 June-3 July, with the Summer Fayre scheduled for Saturday 2 July.
This year’s Crosspool Festival is scheduled to run Friday 24 June-3 July – and the organisers are looking for your ideas to help make it the best ever.
You’ll find suggestion boxes and comment slips in locals shops and churches. Or you can check out this poster and then use the form below to send in your ideas. You have until Tuesday 12 January to submit them.
Over thirty people walked the streets in drizzly conditions on Wednesday evening this week for the Crosspool Chronicles history walk led by Jan Milward and Lindsey Beagles.
The event was arranged so that people working during the day had opportunity to attend an evening repeat of the original history walk which took place during Crosspool Festival week.

The annual Summer Fayre will take place on Saturday 4 July. It’s part of the 2015 Crosspool Festival, which this year runs Friday 26 June to Sunday 5 July.
Final preparations are underway for Crosspool’s annual Selborne Road street market on Sunday 28 June.
The event is your opportunity to buy local food, cakes, plants, crafts, jewellery, clothes and books from over 40 stalls and also enjoy entertainment throughout the afternoon.
During the market, Crosspool Art Group will be exhibiting in the garden at 55 Selborne Road where tea and picnic facilities will also be available.
Crosspool Street market is open 12-4pm and is part of the 2015 Crosspool Festival.
