More snow is forecast so do take extra care on the roads and pavements.

Road closure to affect 51 bus service
Update 23 September: it looks like this work and disruption will now continue until Wednesday 30 September.
Resurfacing work on Sandygate Road will have an impact on the 51 bus service this weekend.
The bus route will split into two at Broomhill, with buses going alternately between Crosspool and Lodge Moore every 20 minutes.

First South Yorkshire has announced most of the timetable for the 51 bus route over Christmas and new year.
- Normal services will finish early on Christmas eve and new year’s eve
- No buses will run on Christmas day
- A special timetable will operate on Boxing day and new year’s day – details to be confirmed on www.firstgroup.com
- Tuesday 27 December and Monday 2 January: Sunday service
- Wednesday 28 to Friday 30 December: Saturday service

New timetable and continuing discount fares for route 51
Bus operator First has confirmed that current discount fares will ‘continue indefinitely’ on the 51 bus running from Lodge Moor to Charnock via town.
The promotional fares, which were launched last June, mean that a single journey from Crosspool to town costs £1.60, compared to the previous price of £1.95. The original announcement indicated that the discount fares might only run until March 2011.
Meanwhile, a new timetable (PDF, 623KB) will be in operation on route 51 from 8 May.

51 bus service over the holiday period
First South Yorkshire has announced the timetable for the 51 bus route over Christmas and new year.
