As part of their contribution to the Crosspool Festival, the Tapton Hill Congregational Church will be showing two short Buster Keaton films, on Tuesday, June 28th at 7pm
Jonny Best, a lively piano player who regularly plays for the Yorkshire Silent Film Festival, will accompany these very funny and popular silent films.
Remember the days when we used to talk and laugh with our best friends? Pop along to the Tapton Church for a good night out with new & old friends. Popcorn will be available.
All donations will benefit the Festival charities.
Preparations are now well under way for the 2022 Crosspool Well Dressing.
A dedicated group of local residents will be gathering this Monday morning @ 10.00am to design and build the Crosspool Well Dressing panels. If you would like to join in to have a go at petaling, no experience needed. Anyone wanting to help out will be made very welcome.
If you happen to have any BLUE HYDRANGEA in bloom and would like to donate the flower/petals, this would be very much appreciated.
To mark the start of this year’s Crosspool Festival celebrations, the decorated Well Dressing panels, generously sponsored by “Layers Flooring”, will be erected on the grass verge at the corner of Watt Lane and Sandgate Road on 24th June, this will be followed by a flag parade along Benty Lane 6.15pm and a service of dedication at 6.30pm.
For details, please email- crosspoolforum@gmail.com or any member of the festival team.

This year, to give plenty of scope for entrants to let their imaginations run wild, the popular annual Crosspool Scarecrow festival has a Royal theme with designs based on historical moments and occasions from the past 70yrs of the Queen’s reign.
We hope local residents will get creative and have some fun with the theme and create some amusing scarecrows.
