The pair of empty shops in Crosspool shopping precinct on Sandygate Road are set to reopen in the coming weeks, with the former Co-op Travel shop now fitted out as Peppermint Salon.
We’ve also heard that the old World of Wine/Bargain Beers double unit could reopen as two businesses, a beer off licence and nail bar.
The Crosspool branch of World of Wine/Bargain Booze ceased trading last weekend after nearly three years in the precinct.
It opened as usual on Saturday 31 August but was cleared out by Sunday morning on 1 September.
The off license opened in September 2010 following the closure of Oddbins in the same unit.
This leaves two shop units currently empty in the precinct, with Co-op Travel also shutting its Crosspool branch last month.
The Co-operative Travel in Crosspool is to close its doors for the final time on Thursday 15 August.
The closure is a consequence of the Co-operative Travel Thomas Cook partnership reorganisation.
Sadly, all staff at the Crosspool branch will be made redundant. Customer files will be transferred to the Hillsborough branch.
