BBC Look North Sofa Challenge to pass through Crosspool on Tuesday 20 March

Harry, Amy and Paul from Look North are taking a sofa on tour. They’re visiting 50 locations around Yorkshire over eight days to raise money for Sport Relief.

On Tuesday 20 March they’re passing through Crosspool. Spectators are most welcome to cheer them along the way! They’re expected at Sandygate around 10.30am.

Video: Rivelin Vally featured on BBC Springwatch show

Last night’s BBC Springwatch programme included a feature on a pair of long-tailed tits nesting in the Rivelin Valley.

The pair of birds have made a home in a holly bush. Springwatch visited in April to find out more.

BBC Question Time arrives in Crosspool

Thursday’s BBC Question Time came from Tapton School in Crosspool.

A panel featuring Anna Soubry, Vince Cable, David Blunkett, Max Mosley and James O’Brien joined David Dimbleby to debate political issues.
