Stephen Hill Junction Remains Closed

Yorkshire Water have now dealt with the burst water main at the Stephen Hill junction with Manchester Road2019 YWA repairs

To allow for the carriageway to be reinstated, the junction is expected to remain CLOSED until the weekend.

Local residents in the surrounding area may have experienced low pressure or no water due to these urgent repairs carried out by Yorkshire Water. The water now restored may be cloudy or discoloured, this will return to normal shortly after and you can help clear this by running your tap for a few minutes.

SANTA’S SLEIGH IN CROSSPOOL

The Hallamshire Round Table is planning to raise money for Cavendish Cancer and Bluebell Wood Hospice with a Santa Sleigh run in Crosspool.

At 6 pm on Thursday 12th December, a sleigh,Santa in Crosspool 1
playing Christmas music with Santa on board will begin its journey from the junction of Dransfield Road – Watt Lane and proceed along a predetermined route, leafletted a week ahead.

On route, children will receive some sweeties and the opportunity to say hello to Father Christmas.

Ahead of the sleigh passing by, volunteers will knock on doors to collect monetary donations for the charities.

CROSSPOOL CRIME PREVENTION MEETING

The Neighbourhood Police and the new Neighbourhood Watch Coordinator for our area will be in attendance at the Crosspool Crime Prevention Meeting to give advice and listen to your questions

Street Poppies around Crosspool

Every year the nation unites to make sure that none of the victims of war and terrorism are forgotten.
In support of the Royal British Legion Poppy 2019 Appeal, Crosspool has put up street poppies to remember and honour those who have sacrificed themselves to secure and protect our freedom.

It’s for 5-11 yr. olds children with their parents and or carers.
A tinned donation to the S6 Foodbank would be welcome.
