Sheffield Community Engagement Work

South-West-Local-Area-Committee Tele:0114 293 0175

Sheffield City Council is actively seeking innovative ways to engage with residents who typically remain unheard in discussions about active travel.

Their strategy includes creating inclusive and accessible environments that encourage walking, cycling, and other forms of non-motorized transport.

By prioritizing the design of safe and attractive routes, the council aims to support a shift towards more sustainable and active modes of transportation.

It is hoped that this approach will not only promote physical health but will also address social justice by ensuring equal access to active travel options for all community members.
