Crosspool 2022 Festival Competitions & Exhibition: – Art, Craft, Photography, Cake Baking, and Cupcake Decorating.
You can now start submitting your entries for the Festival Art, Craft & Photography sections of the exhibition and competition. From now until Friday 24th June, you can drop off your entries at Cocker & Carr Estate Agents. There are two categories for each: – Under 16yrs and Over 16yrs. You can enter up to two creations in one or more of the art, craft & photography sections.
For the Cake Baking and Cupcake Decorating Competition/Exhibition, you can hand in your entries at St Columbaโs Church between 6-7 pm on Tuesday 28th June or on Wednesday 29th June from 9-10am. Cake baking has two categories for each: – Under 16yrs and Over 16yrs.
For the Cupcake Decorating, there are two additional categories:- Under- 5yrs and 5yrs to 11yrs.

Anyone who lives works, or goes to school in the Crosspool area can enter, All exhibited creations will have the chance of winning a prize, sponsored by the Crosspool Estate Agent Cocker & Carr.
There is no theme to follow, just show us what you can create. You can enter as many of the categories as you want, but no more than two entries per category.
All competition entries will be displayed and judged at St Columbaโs Church on Wednesday 29th June, after which some of the entries in the art, craft, and photography categories will go to be displayed in Cocker & Carrโs window.
How to enter:
Cup Cake Decorating Under-fives & five to eleven years can enter a maximum of two cupcakes. They donโt have to make the cupcakes, just decorate them using their imagination. Cake baking Under 16s & everyone over 16 years; you can submit up to two cakes that you have made. Hand both cupcakes & cakes in with a card that gives details of Name, Age, an email address, and phone number (that of parents or guardians for children) ย at St Columbaโs Church on Tuesday 28th June, 6 -7 pm or Wednesday 29th June, 9-10 am
Art and Craft Creations ย Under 16s & everyone over 16 years. you can submit up to two creations that you have made. Photography Under 16s & everyone over 16 years: you can submit a maximum of two images in either A5 or A4. On the back print, a caption so the judges can clearly understand your description of what is happening in the photo, Name; Age; Category, and your contact email and phone number. Drop off your entries at the Crosspool Estate Agents Cocker & Carr, from Wednesday, June 1st. The closing date is midday on Friday 24th June.

The results of our annual festival photography competition have been announced! The polls received nearly 146 votes. The results are below.
Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic restrictions on mass gathering, being extended to the 19th July 2021, this Saturdays hugely popular Crosspool Summer Fayre has had to be cancelled for the second year running, As a result the prizes for this yearโs Photo Competition and Scarecrow Competition will now be presented to the competition winners at Hudsonโs Kitchen on Sandygate Road, this Saturday 3 July at 12:30pm.

Thank you to the Creative Crosspool residents who, over the past months have been knitting and crocheting a huge variety of delightful items for everyone to enjoy as part of this years scaled down Crosspool Festival .
All the yarn bombing creations currently displayed in the Crosspool precinct were designed and installed by members of our local community.
Look very closely at all the displays for hidden characters such as Robin Hood & his Merry Men and a woolly version of Crossy the Owl. ย
