A penknife was found on Dransfield Road on 24 February.

Some sad news: the body of a dead ginger and white cat has been found this morning on the side of Lydgate Lane next to the corner of Lydgate Hall Crescent.
It has been taken it to a house for safe keeping. If you think it might be yours then please call the person who found it on 0114 266 5492.
Update 27 December: we think the cat might be the same one as in this photo.

A tabby cat called Max has gone missing from his home on Barncliffe Mews. Have you seen him?
He was last seen on Monday 17 November.
The owners are asking whether local residents could check garages, basements, greenhouses and sheds in case he is trapped inside.

A dead cat has been found in a garden on Manchester Road near Den Bank Avenue.
The black and white cat has an orange collar with bell attached. It has black fur on the back and sides plus a white nose, mouth and chin, white paws and white tummy. No obvious address was attached.
There were no visible injuries, but it may have been hit on the main road and run into a garden.
The person who found the cat has asked us to post this in order to alert the owners. If you are worried the cat may be yours then you can see a photo of it here to check.
The council were due to collect the cat today. They will check for any microchip and try to contact the owner.

A phone was found on Dransfield Road this morning around 9am, near the bottom of the street on the grass verge. The battery appears to be dead.

A Crosspool lady has lost her watch and is asking residents if they have seen it.
The stainless steel Fossil watch went missing somewhere between the precinct and the sorting office on Tapton Hill Road. It has considerable sentimental value but doesn’t have much monetary value.

This morning it seems a child’s small pink bike was left outside Motor World in Crosspool.
We’re not sure if it was abandoned, stolen or simply forgotton about, but if you know the owner please can you get them to call Si on 0114 268 4479 so the bike and owner can be reunited.
The back brake is damaged, so this may be the reason it was left there.
