The Spring art exhibition by artists from Hallam Art Group takes place on the weekend of 5-6 April.
From 10am-5pm on the Saturday and Sunday you can view pieces by the group at Hallam Community Hall on Hallam Grange Crescent, S10 4BD. Admission is free and refreshments will be available.
Well-known local faces from the worlds of sport and music are taking part in a charity fundraiser at Sandygate this afternoon, Sunday 23 March.
Chris Waddle will lead an all-stars team featuring ex-footballers David Hirst, John Sheridan, Carlton Palmer and David Holdsworth, plus Reverend and the Makers frontman Jon McClure.
The day is to raise money for homeless charity the Archer Project. Tickets are £5 and are available on the door. Kick off is at 2pm.

Crosspool Forum’s next Open Meeting will take place on Thursday 30 January at St Columba’s church. It starts at 7pm.
Come along and give your concerns on local issues to local councillors, the police and officials.
Guest speakers this time include:
Andrew Wood who will be advising on energy-saving measures for your home, including insulation
Amanda Forrest and Dr. Ted Turner from the Clinical Commissioning Group who will give a brief outline of the CCG’s patient and public involvement etc. followed by a short question and answer session
A new six-week course that will teach men how to cook a tasty, healthy meal using fresh ingredients is starting next month in Crosspool.
Men’s Magnificent Meals takes place at St. Columba’s Church Hall on Fridays from 28 February 2014. Sessions are taught by an experienced and qualified tutor and run from 10.30am-12.30pm. No previous cooking experience is necessary.
