You can bring your Christmas tree along to the area outside Direct Travel on Sunday 11 January between 10am and 12 noon for recycling/disposal by Andrew Fisher from Complete Tree Solutions.
Crosspool Forum will be collecting contributions to support the work of the forum in our community and also reimburse Andrew for any expenses. If you would like to give then the suggested donation is £2.
Please don’t leave your tree there after 12pm. Firewood logs will also be on sale.
The Bishop of Sheffield, Right Reverend Steven Croft, will be preaching at St. Columba’s this Sunday, 4 January at the 10.30.a.m. service. Everyone is welcome.
The popular Magnificent Meals for Men cookery course will be running again starting on 30 January 2105 for six Friday sessions, with a break for half term.
The course is held at St. Columba’s Church Hall on Friday mornings from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
Enjoy learning to cook healthy, nutritious meals using fresh ingredients, in a sociable group. Tuition is from a qualified and experienced tutor.
The cost is £50 for six sessions (£25 in case of financial difficulty), payable by cheque in advance.

The four local Crosspool churches have announced their programme of services for the Christmas season.
Radio Sheffield’s daily football phone-in will be broadcast from Hallam FC’s Sandygate next week.
Chris Waddle and Keith Edwards will join sport editor Andy Giddings in the 1860 Suite on Friday 5 December for the phone-in from 6pm and a Q&A session from 7.30pm.
Entry is free from 5.15pm for Football Heaven but you’ll need a ticket to stay for the Q&A, priced at £10 each. You can book for the Q&A by emailing theclub@hallamfc.co.uk.

Crosspool Forum is hosting a Childrens’ Christmas Disco on Sunday 7 December, 2014.
The event for children between 3-11 years will run from 1.30-3.30pm in St Columba’s church hall. Father Christmas will bring a present for every child and complementary refreshments and nibbles will be served for everyone.
You can get your ticket from Crosspool Pet Shop. They cost £5 per child and the accompanying parent or guardian is free. You can also contact the Forum on crosspoolforum@fsmail.net or 07713 687 955 for tickets and more information.
The next art exhibition by artists from Hallam Art Group takes place later this month.
From 10am-5pm on Saturday 15 to Sunday 16 November you can view pieces by the group at Hallam Community Hall on Hallam Grange Crescent, S10 4BD.
Admission is free.
Crosspool Forum’s next Open Meeting/annual AGM will take place on Thursday 30 October at St Columba’s church. It starts at 7pm.
Come along and give your concerns on local issues to local councillors, the police and officials.
Guest speakers this time include:
St Columba’s Playgroup are holding a table top sale on Saturday 15 November from 12noon to 2pm.
There’ll be Christmas gifts, toys for all ages, linen, bric-a-brac, books, DVDs, jigsaws, baby clothes and baby items.
Everybody is welcome.
