Crosspool Forum’s next Open Meeting/AGM will take place this Thursday 31st October 2019, 7pm, St Columba’s Church Hall, Manchester Road, Crosspool S10 5PL.

Come along and express your concerns on local issues to local councillors, guest speakers and the police.

It’s for 5-11 yr. olds children with their parents and or carers.

Explore the wildlife and meet volunteers: with the Rivelin Valley Conservation Group and Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust.

Go on a bug-hunt and do a bark/leaf rubbing.

Find out how you can get involved in helping to conserve the valley.

Heritage tours: to the world-famous Mousehole Forge.

Art in the park: see artwork by the 1920s Rivelin Valley Artists’ colony and find out about the 19th-century artist William Lowe.

Poetry ‘open mic’ with Fay Musselwhite: poems on the themes of heritage and nature during a walk by the river.

August 14th 1919 saw the official birth of Crookes Working Mens Club Ltd. Although the roots of the club go back a little further this is the date that they officially became recognised as a business.
