Whirlow Christmas Fayre 2023

Whirlow Farm looks forward to welcoming you to their Annual Christmas Fayre.
Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th November, 10am – 3pm.,

Shop in the Christmas Market with our independent traders for those unique, special Christmas gifts and decorations. Enjoy warm boozy cocktails, mulled wine & mince pies while listening to the festive sounds of local choirs and live music.

Meet the real “Elf on a Shelf” and be sure to grab a naughty picture with him… a must-do for any child. See Santa and the Elves in the farmhouse. Meet Real Reindeers.

Pick up a tasty lunch from one of the street food vendors… including hot roast pork sandwiches from the Whirlow BBQ.

Pick up your Christmas tree and order your free-range Whirlow turkey for the big day.

The playground will be open; and why not feed the animals while you are here too

FESTIVE EVENING @ Stephen Hill Church

Stephen Hill Methodist Church are delighted to invite you to join them for a special festive evening of music and joy.

On Wednesday 13th of December at 7.45 pm, The Salvation Army Band will make their annual visit to perform their wonderful tunes for us.
Nothing says ‘Christmas’ quite like the sound of a brass band and many people consider that their festive season starts on this night.

Don’t miss this chance to enjoy The Salvation Army Band’s annual concert and to support their praiseworthy cause. There is no admission fee, but you will have an opportunity to contribute a donation to the ongoing work of the Salvation Army in Sheffield if you wish.

Crosspool Church Announces Fundraising Results

The two charities that Stephen Hill Methodist Church supported in 2022/23, The Yorkshire Air Ambulance and The Sheffield Children’s Hospital, have each received £3,100 from the church’s fundraising efforts.
The church is delighted to share this news and to thank everyone who contributed.
As a token of gratitude, the hospital will display an illuminated snowflake with the church’s name on it this Christmas.

Crosspool Christmas Tree Shredding

Recognising the importance to dispose of our real Christmas trees sustainably rather than end up in landfill, which is both costly to the taxpayer and the environment,

On Sunday morning 8th January, the Crosspool Forum had arranged a brief window for the community to drag their discarded Christmas trees to the forecourt in front of local travel agents “Direct Travel.”

The huge number of Christmas trees brought for recycling were soon reduced to wood chippings for mulch, outdoor firewood, animal bedding and pathways locally.

It was gratifying to hear the residents of Crosspool appreciate the hard work of the volunteers and the convenience of being able to dispose of their Christmas trees environmentally friendly.

Crosspool Christmas Tree Recycling

Crosspool Forum loves shredding real Christmas trees and encourages you, for a small donation, to recycle your discarded Christmas tree.

Andrew Clayton, a Local tree specialist, will provide Christmas tree recycling for the Community of Crosspool between 10am & 11.30am this Sunday 8th January 2023

The Crosspool Forum would like to take this opportunity to give a big thank you to ”Direct Travel”, for allowing us to use the space in front of their premises.

Please observe social distancing when dropping off your tree and suggested donation.
