SHEFFIELD HALF MARATHON

Thousands of runners of all abilities will hit the streets of Sheffield at 9.30am this Sunday
14th April 2019, for the Sheffield Half Marathon.
To ensure the safety of all those taking part, spectators, residents and visitors, a number of the city’s roads will be closed or have access restricted during the event.

CROSSPOOL OPEN GARDENS NEEDS NEW RECRUITS

This key event of the Crosspool Festival, which has run without a break for sixteen years, is in danger this year of being cancelled.

Several of our regular gardens are unable to open this year.
We need new gardens to fill the gap.
Open Gardens is on Saturday 29th June, and you can use it to raise money for your favourite charity.

Crosspool Open Gardens 2019

-Opening your garden/allotment is a really enjoyable way to spend a day making new friends and acquaintances. Gardens 2019
-Your garden doesn’t have to be particularly big, beautiful or perfect
-It’s not a competition; visitors buy a ticket which gives them access to all the gardens and allotments open on Saturday 29th June 2019.

-Proceeds go to the Crosspool Festival charities or to a charity of your choice.

BBC Look North Sofa Challenge to pass through Crosspool on Tuesday 20 March

Harry, Amy and Paul from Look North are taking a sofa on tour. They’re visiting 50 locations around Yorkshire over eight days to raise money for Sport Relief.

On Tuesday 20 March they’re passing through Crosspool. Spectators are most welcome to cheer them along the way! They’re expected at Sandygate around 10.30am.
