A 2-day Craft, Art, Photography and Cake exhibition at St Columba Church, Manchester Road, Crosspool.
This event will showcase a wide range of creative works in various mediums, including crafts, art, photography, and delectable cakes. It is a wonderful opportunity to appreciate the talent and craftsmanship of local artists and photographers.

2023 Crosspool Festival Art, Craft, Photography, Cake Baking Exhibition, Demonstrations and Awards. Tuesday 4th & Wednesday 5th July, St Columba’s church.
This summer, Crosspool Festival is holding a two-day exhibition for the people of Crosspool to showcase their creativity in the areas of Art, Craft, Photography and Cake Making.
Entry Details
Anyone who lives, works, volunteers or goes to school in the Crosspool area can enter and have their submission exhibited. There will be a chance also to win some prizes, which are sponsored by Cocker & Carr Estate Agents.
There will also be demonstrations on Spinning Alpaca Fleece on Tuesday and Lace Making on Wednesday; plus an introduction to Philately; a fun and addictive hobby of stamp collecting. There will also be a display from Crosspool Members of the Sheffield Photography Society.
There is no theme to follow, just show us what you can create. You can enter as many of the categories as you want, but no more than two entries per category.
The Cake Baking and Crafts will be judged on Wednesday 5 July at St Columba’s Church.
The Photography and art entries will not be chosen by a judge. Rather, the visitors to the exhibition will be able to vote for their favourites in both the under-16s and over-16s categories.
After the exhibition, Cocker & Carr will then put on a window display for some of the entries in the art, craft and photography categories

Art in the park: see artwork by and find out about the 1920s Rivelin Valley Artists’ colony and 19th-century artist William Lowe. Poetry ‘open mic’ led by local poets: read your own or another favourite poem during a walk by the river.

Over 70 wonderful exhibits from very talented Crosspool folk were on display last Thursday at St. Columba Church.
The four judges were impressed with the range and quality of entries. There was also a display by Mavis Roadhouse on using silk, a very complicated and delicate skill.
The winners each received a certificate and a cash prize sponsored by Crosspool Estate Agents, Cocker & Carr.
The winners were:
Craft Sandra Bousted for her hand made journal made from recycled materials.
Art under 16s: an exceptional and brilliant portrait drawing by Neha Chonkar.
Art adults: Rosalie Hoyland ‘smoke scene, sparks and soot’.
Photography under 16s: Kai Haste-Wain’s image of a resting bee.
Photography adults: Louise Cousins for her picture of Hallam FC players celebrating winning the league in the snow!
