Peppermint Salon

The pair of empty shops in Crosspool shopping precinct on Sandygate Road are set to reopen in the coming weeks, with the former Co-op Travel shop now fitted out as Peppermint Salon.

We’ve also heard that the old World of Wine/Bargain Beers double unit could reopen as two businesses, a beer off licence and nail bar.

The Crosspool branch of World of Wine/Bargain Booze ceased trading last weekend after nearly three years in the precinct.

It opened as usual on Saturday 31 August but was cleared out by Sunday morning on 1 September.

The off license opened in September 2010 following the closure of Oddbins in the same unit.

This leaves two shop units currently empty in the precinct, with Co-op Travel also shutting its Crosspool branch last month.

World of Wine off licence coming to Crosspool

After being empty for nearly two years, the shop previously known as Oddbins is due to reopen its doors early next week selling wine and beer under the name World of Wine. It is believed that the new owner currently runs other off licences in the city.
