Crosspool Church Announces Fundraising Results

The two charities that Stephen Hill Methodist Church supported in 2022/23, The Yorkshire Air Ambulance and The Sheffield Children’s Hospital, have each received £3,100 from the church’s fundraising efforts.
The church is delighted to share this news and to thank everyone who contributed.
As a token of gratitude, the hospital will display an illuminated snowflake with the church’s name on it this Christmas.

Junior Badminton

If you are between 10 and 18 years old and enjoy playing badminton, you might be interested in joining Bob Townrow’s Junior Badminton Club.

The club meets every Thursday evening during the school term from 6.30pm to 7.30pm, at the Stephen Hill Methodist Church on Benty Lane, to play mainly doubles with other members on the one court available.
The club welcomes players of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced.
You don’t need to bring your own equipment, as everything is provided by the club.
The fee is only £10 per term, which is very affordable.

Prayers of Thanksgiving for the Royal Family

This Sunday, September 18th,
Services at St Columba and Stephen Hill Church
Crosspool  Sheffield  

St Columba’s Church, 10.30am service, lasting about an hour, is Holy Communion led by Steve Ellis, with Ian Parkinson, Associate Archdeacon, preaching and presiding.
During the service, there will be a minute of silence in memory of Queen Elizabeth II, and the intercessions will include prayers of thanksgiving for the Queen’s reign, of support for the royal family, the nation in mourning, and for our new King Charles III.

Stephen Hill Church 6.00pm, as suggested by the archbishops for the eve of Her Majesty’s funeral, a short service of prayer and reflection lead by Steve Ellis.

Of course, All Are Welcome to either or both services!
