Set to take place at the Stephen Hill Church, this Saturday 6th July 7.30pm, the Crosspool Festival Concert promises to be a delightful evening of music and community spirit.
The event will feature an array of talented performers including the Majesty Gospel Choir, known for their uplifting and powerful vocal performances. Fretworks will bring a touch of stringed sophistication to the evening, while Jean and Lee Eyre are expected to enchant with their harmonious duets. Paul Gilbert’s presence hints at a repertoire of engaging melodies, and the trio of Tony Prescott, Bob and Margaret Townrow will undoubtedly add to the diverse musical tapestry of the night.
This concert is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, enjoy live music, and celebrate the local talent that Crosspool has to offer.
It is with the greatest regret that due to unforeseen family responsibilities and crises of varying gravity, rendering the lineup unviable, Viva Voce is having to CANCEL their concert-recital UNDER PARISIAN SKIES scheduled for Stephen Hill Methodist this coming Saturday evening as part of the Crosspool festival.
Sheffield Folk Chorale and local young harpist Ciara Noon are the performers at this year’s Crosspool Festival Gala Concert.
It takes place on Thursday 2 July at Stephen Hill Church, Manchester Road, 7.30pm start.
Tickets, £7, include interval coffee/tea and biscuits are available from Roger Kite (0114 230 6194), Bob Hodges (0114 230 3207) or Crosspool Pet Supplies.
After the success of their first event a couple of years ago, the 259 Scouts are planning another concert on Saturday 18 April to raise funds for the group and Stephen Hill church.
It will include solo performers and bands featuring members come from the group.
Doors will open at 6.30pm, ready for a 7pm start. The concert will finish around 10pm. Refreshments will be available.
Entry is £3 in advance, £4 on the door. The hall has a limited capacity so it’s recommended (and cheaper) to get your tickets in advance. To buy, contact helensmithsandygate@gmail.com.
