Carver Street Buses Take a Rockingham Detour

Carver Street bus stop where changes will come in from Sunday 7th December

Carver Street stop closed for most services from this Sunday 7th December 2025. 

New route will go via Rockingham Street with a stop near West Street. 

Sheffield Connect SC1 will still use Carver Street. 

Affected services: 6, 30, 30a,51,52, 52a, 95, 95S, 120, 120k, 181, 257a, 257b, X30. 

Rockingham Street bus hub connects you to other services. 
No raised kerb yet, but buses can still lower or ramp.

Single decker buses to run on 51 route weekdays until 17 April

Bus 51: single deckers will be in use weekdays 7am-7pm until 17 April

First Buses have advised that they will be unable to run buses from Blackbrook Road to Lodge Moor terminus from Thursday 7 April to Tuesday 17 April, 7am-7pm, on weekdays only.

Because they will be forced to use Crimicar Lane to turn buses, this will mean the use of single deckers during the period. Last time this diversion was in place, a double decker received damage due to a tree at kerbside, so it is considered unsafe.

First are advising residents that while they will do their best, there is a possible risk of demand exceeding seating capacity on the service at peak periods and around school times.
