CDYST cycle track plans halted

They explain:
For numerous reasons and after careful consideration of all the issues involved, the CDTST trustees have decided that unfortunately it is not feasible for the proposed cycle track to go ahead.
The research that we have done and the negotiations that we have had has lead us to believe that the work is untenable.
We thank everyone who took the time to respond with their comments about the intended project.
51 bus changes consultation

The Sheffield Bus Partnership is asking residents to give their views on proposed changes to local bus routes:
- The 51 bus would take a revised route via East Bank Road instead of Eastern Avenue
- Journeys on the 120 route that currently terminate at Hallamshire hospital would be extended to Ranmoor
- No changes are proposed to the 52 service
You have until Friday 31 July to give your feedback.
Gallery: scarecrows of Crosspool award winners accounced
Over 20 households in the neighbourhood displayed a scarecrow in their front garden as part of a scarecrow competition at this year’s Crosspool Festival.
Thank you and congratulations to everyone who made one, they were all fantastic! We raised a fantastic £66 for the two Lydgate schools and we know how much fun the families who entered had making them and the spotters too.
If you did not make a scarecrow this year, don’t worry we will be running the competition next year. We hope you will join in then.
